Photos of 2014: Garden

you've probably heard the saying, "the house of a builder is never finished". Well, this is true.
As we approach the middle of 2014, though there have been many little changes to our home inside and gradual improvements to the outside, there will always be long term projects that are constantly changing, being added to or delayed.

First of all, the ever changing:

The garden.

Mucking Out

With most of the dusty business done with, it was time to clear up the mess. Bring forth the industrial vacuum cleaner! You can see the transformation of the boxed in rooms into a framework for a large living/dining/kitchen area.
When the old fireplace is knocked down (hopefully this week) we will be able to appreciate the space almost as it will eventually be ...using visualization of course...just have to imagine the timber paneled walls... polished floors, the neat little kitchen and our big old antique dining table... the new fireplace (perhaps fitted later) in the south wall and a high ceiling (please!)
more to come soon.... as a parting gift, here is my favorite view towards the mountains and the setting sun

Serenity

just to keep our spirits up.... this is the view from what will be the living room. And I took this on a stormy, freakishly windy day

keep this image in your mind. You're going to need it in the weeks to come :)
